Ray Jordan's WA Wine Guide 2009

Ray Jordan's 2009 WA Wine Guide was released early December and our premium Salitage Chardonnay and Salitage Pinot Noir received outstanding results:
SALITAGE CHARDONNAY 2007 - There's a little more in this chardonnay than previous vintage though it retains an essentially leaner style which is attractive. Smells of cashew, grapefruit and just a faint hint of toastiness. The palate is lovely with its fine, delicate poise and excellent length. One of the most complete Salitage chardonnays. 93/100
SALITAGE PINOT NOIR 2007 - Attacks with smells of cherry and cedary and slight funkiness overlaying the excellent varietal purity. The palate, while showing some suppleness, has a fine though firm core of tannin and oak. Has good structure for a medium-bodied wine. 92/100
TREEHOUSE SAUVIGNON BLANC 2008 - A consistent sav blanc from down at Pemberton that always seems to please. This is right on the money with lively passionfruit and minerally gooseberry characters cut with a little fresh lime juice. Easy current-drinking, lighter-style wine. 86/100
